Because every Dubai parent has the same few places saved in their Notes app, three more they keep meaning to try, and at least one soft play they swore they’d never go back to… but somehow did.

So, we’re putting the list somewhere more useful.

We’ve grouped them by type so you can find what fits your day: a quick morning runaround, an after-school energy burn, a birthday party idea, a place for your toddler to lose their mind safely, or somewhere you can sit down for twenty minutes while someone else handles the entertainment.

This list will keep growing, because Dubai parenting is basically one long group chat of recommendations, warnings and “has anyone tried this place yet?”

Indoor Play: Large Venues

KidZania Dubai

Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai

**Best for:** Ages 2–16 (best for 4–14)
**Indoor/Outdoor:** Indoor
**Price range:** AED 130–260 per child
**Stroller-friendly:** Yes
**Booking:** Recommended in advance, especially weekends
**P+ note:** *A genuine half-day activity: role-play city where kids ‘work’ real jobs. Best for kids old enough to follow instructions and enjoy structured play. Can get crowded; weekday mornings are calmer.*

Leo & Loona

Dubai Festival City Mall

**Best for:** Ages 0–12 (best for 2–8)
**Indoor/Outdoor:** Indoor
**Price range:** AED 149–229 per child
**Stroller-friendly:** Yes
**Booking:** Walk-in; weekends busier
**P+ note:** *Strong option for younger toddlers: softer play structures and a calmer atmosphere than some of the bigger theme-park-style venues. Good if you have a mixed-age group of siblings.*

Children’s City

Creek Park, Dubai

**Best for:** Ages 2–15 (best for 4–12)
**Indoor/Outdoor:** Mostly indoor, some outdoor
**Price range:** AED 10–20 per child (includes optional planetarium)
**Stroller-friendly:** Yes
**Booking:** Walk-in
**P+ note:** A genuinely educational, science-museum-style venue at a fraction of mall play-space prices. Less about pure play and more about hands-on learning, good for slightly older kids with longer attention spans.

Soft Play & Café-Attached

Explorers

City Centre Mirdif

**Best for:** Ages 2–10
**Indoor/Outdoor:** Indoor
**Price range:** AED 79–149 per child
**Stroller-friendly:** Yes
**Booking:** Walk-in; some slots recommend booking for birthday parties
**P+ note:** *The kind of unpretentious neighbourhood soft play that doesn’t try to be a theme park, exactly what it needs to be for a Tuesday afternoon with a toddler.*

Outdoor & Park-Based (Best in Cooler Months)

Al Barsha Pond Park Playground

Al Barsha

**Best for:** Ages 2–10
**Indoor/Outdoor:** Outdoor
**Price range:** Free
**Stroller-friendly:** Yes
**Booking:** Not required
**P+ note:** *A genuinely good free playground with shaded areas, worth knowing about for budget-conscious weekends. Best October through April; avoid midday even in cooler months.*

Kite Beach Playground

Kite Beach, Jumeirah

**Best for:** Ages 2–12
**Indoor/Outdoor:** Outdoor
**Price range:** Free
**Stroller-friendly:** Partially: boardwalks are manageable; sandy areas can be difficult
**Booking:** Not required
**P+ note:** *Combine playground time with a beach afternoon. Good for older toddlers and kids who have more energy to burn. Bring water and sun protection regardless of season.*

Zabeel Park Play Areas

Zabeel Park

**Best for:** Ages 3–10
**Indoor/Outdoor:** Outdoor
**Price range:** AED 5 park entry
**Stroller-friendly:** Yes
**Booking:** Not required for general park access
**P+ note:** *Worth checking current exhibits and seasonal offerings. Zabeel Park’s play areas and family attractions rotate. Good option for an evening outing once the weather cools.*

Trampoline & Active Play

Bounce Dubai

Multiple locations across Dubai

**Best for:** Ages 5+ (miniBOUNCE at selected venues for younger children)
**Indoor/Outdoor:** Indoor
**Price range:** AED 80–150 per person
**Stroller-friendly:** Limited
**Booking:** Recommended, especially weekends
**P+ note:** *High-energy trampoline park, best for kids who genuinely need to burn off serious energy. Check toddler-specific session times if you have a younger child. Some locations run dedicated quieter slots.*

At the end of the day, finding a good play space in Dubai is less about glossy photos and more about the things parents actually care about: Is it clean? Is it worth the money? Will my child enjoy it? Can I sit down? Is the coffee decent? Will we all leave slightly less feral than when we arrived?
