Play Spaces in Dubai We’ve Tried and Recommend

Our growing guide to play spaces in Dubai, parent-tested, not algorithm-generated.

Because every Dubai parent has the same few places saved in their Notes app, three more they keep meaning to try, and at least one soft play they swore they’d never go back to, but somehow did. So we’re putting the list somewhere more useful.

We’ve grouped them by type so you can find what fits your day. This list will keep growing, so if you have a favourite we’ve missed, tell us. That’s the whole point of building this together.

Indoor Play: Large Venues

KidZania Dubai: Dubai Mall, Downtown

Ages 4–14 · Indoor · AED 150–250/child (verify) · Stroller-friendly · Book ahead, esp. weekends

A genuine half-day activity, a role-play city where kids ‘work’ real jobs. Best for kids old enough to follow instructions. Can get crowded; weekday mornings are calmer.

Fun Works: City Centre Mirdif / Deira

Ages 2–10 · Indoor · AED 80–150/child (verify) · Stroller-friendly · Walk-in, check peak queues

Reliable mall-based soft play with a good range of zones. Good for a couple of hours rather than a full day. Café area makes it manageable for parents who need a coffee.

Leo & Loona: Dubai Hills Mall

Ages 0–8 · Indoor · AED 100–180/child (verify) · Stroller-friendly · Walk-in, weekends busier

Strong option for younger toddlers, softer play structures and a calmer atmosphere than the bigger theme-park-style venues. Good for mixed-age siblings.

Children’s City: Creek Park

Ages 2–10 · Mostly indoor · AED 20–35/child (verify) · Stroller-friendly · Walk-in

A genuinely educational, science-museum-style venue at a fraction of mall prices. More hands-on learning than pure play, good for older kids with longer attention spans.

Soft Play & Café-Attached

Mamamoo’s: JBR area (multiple)

Ages 0–6 · Indoor · AED 60–100/child (verify) · Stroller-friendly · Walk-in

Smaller, calmer, café-attached soft play, easier to manage with a coffee in hand. Particularly good for younger toddlers who get overwhelmed in larger spaces.

Little Explorers: Community cafés (various)

Ages 1–5 · Indoor · AED 50–90/child (verify) · Stroller-friendly · Walk-in; book birthday slots

Unpretentious neighbourhood soft play that doesn’t try to be a theme park, exactly what it needs to be for a Tuesday afternoon with a toddler.

Outdoor & Park-Based (Best in Cooler Months)

Al Barsha Pond Park Playground: Al Barsha

Ages 2–10 · Outdoor · Free (park entry) · Stroller-friendly · No booking

A genuinely good free playground with shaded areas, worth knowing for budget-conscious weekends. Best October through April; avoid midday even in cooler months.

Kite Beach Playground: Jumeirah

Ages 2–12 · Outdoor · Free · Partially stroller-friendly (sand) · No booking

Combine playground time with a beach afternoon. Good for older toddlers and kids with energy to burn. Bring water and sun protection regardless of season.

Zabeel Park Play Areas: Zabeel Park

Ages 3–10 · Outdoor · Park entry applies (verify) · Stroller-friendly · No booking

Worth checking current exhibits and seasonal offerings, the play areas and family attractions rotate. Good for an evening outing once the weather cools.

Trampoline & Active Play

Bounce Dubai: Multiple locations

Ages 5+ (younger zones at some) · Indoor · AED 100–150/session (verify) · Limited stroller · Book weekends

High-energy trampoline park, best for kids who genuinely need to burn off serious energy. Check toddler-specific session times if you have a younger child.

Flip Out Dubai: Times Square Center

Ages 4+ · Indoor · AED 90–140/session (verify) · Limited stroller · Book weekends/holidays

Trampolines, foam pits, ninja-style obstacle courses. Good for slightly older, more confident kids. Not ideal for toddlers under 4.

For the Youngest (Ages 0–2)

Tiny Tots Sensory Play: Community centres

Ages 0–2 · Indoor · AED 50–80/session (verify) · Stroller-friendly · Booking usually required

Genuinely built for babies and very young toddlers rather than a scaled-down version of an older kids venue. Sensory-focused, smaller groups, calmer environment.

Community Baby & Me Sessions: Select locations

Ages 0–18 months · Indoor · Often free/low-cost (verify) · Stroller-friendly · Check schedule

Worth checking what’s currently running, community and retail-sponsored baby sessions change frequently. A good example of the low-cost, high-value listing this directory is built to surface.

At the end of the day, finding a good play space in Dubai is less about glossy photos and more about what parents actually care about: Is it clean? Is it worth the money? Will my child enjoy it? Can I sit down? Is the coffee decent? Will we all leave slightly less feral than when we arrived?

Got a favourite we’ve missed? Tell us. Dubai parenting is basically one big recommendation thread anyway, we’re just putting it somewhere easier to find.

Pricing, hours, and availability for all listings are approximate and subject to change. Always confirm current details directly with the venue before visiting.
